What is Basecamp?

Simply put – a much lower difficulty trip into difficult to reach places. Not everyone wants to nut up for a 30 mile hike into the backwoods, carrying only the bare necessities. Basecamp takes a more relaxed approach, where we setup a central location to adventure from and return to when one of the optional mini adventures ends.

What to Bring?

The purpose of basecamp is to make the entire adventure simpler for most participants, allowing us to bring significantly more gear and confort than we would on a Full-Send trip. You do have a personal responsibility to bring all the stuff you need to live comfortably in the wild, but to asssist, we will provide some gear options and comfort plus goodies. Tony changed my entire life with his TRAVEL BIDET.

Location, Location, Location.

We will be heading into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, or BWCA. This pristine stretch of wilderness has no roads, no power, no cell service and no lights. The only way in or out is by boat – motorized in a few areas, but canoes in most. Inside the park there are no motors allowed, not to mention drones. If you were trying to get some epic drone footage – too bad. You gonna have to look at it with your eyes.

Do’s and Dont’s.

One thing I will make abundantly clear: No disrespecting nature. No leaving trash, no burning garbage, no leaving food out, no pissing into the lakes. Trees need the nutrients more than the fish do. No cutting down live trees, no messing with wild animals. You’re all adults. Just remember – unsecured food can result in a $5,000 dollar fine from the park rangers, if we happen to encounter one. Do enjoy yourself – smoke, drink, fish, jerk off in your own tent, I don’t care, just respect the group.
